A Heartfelt Farewell After 29 Wonderful Years at ESF
It is with mixed emotions that after 29 incredible years at ESF, I will be retiring at the end of this year. As I look back on my time here, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the experiences, relationships, and milestones I have had the privilege to be part of.
One of the greatest highlights of my career has been the opportunity to connect with so many of you over the many events through the years. These events have allowed me to witness firsthand the extraordinary impact that ESF alumni have on their communities and the world. It has been an honor to serve as a bridge between our alumni and the College. Throughout my tenure, I have had the pleasure of organizing alumni trips, fostering connections, and getting to know so many of you on a personal level. Your passion for ESF and the environment has been a constant source of inspiration, and it has fueled my own lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship.
ESF holds a very special place in my heart, not only because of the work we’ve done together, but also because of the lasting impact it has had on my own family. I am proud to share that two of my children are graduates of ESF—one from the Environmental Biology program and the other from the Ranger School. Seeing them flourish within this community has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
The passion of our students and alumni has left an indelible mark on me, guiding my personal commitment to the environment, both in practice and financially. Though I may be retiring from my role, I remain dedicated to supporting ESF as a donor and a lifelong friend. I look forward to continuing to engage with the College in the years ahead, and I am excited to see the next chapter of ESF’s journey unfold.
Thank you to each and every one of you for the friendships, memories, and shared commitment to our mission. It has been a true honor to be part of such a remarkable community. ESF will always be a part of who I am, and I will continue to cherish the work we’ve done together.
